        Mission Shakti is a state sponsored programme for empowerment of women in Odisha through Self Help Group approach.

When this programme was launched?

        Mission Shakti was launched in the state on 8th March, 2001 by Hon’ble Chief Minister, Odisha Sri Naveen Patnaik.

What is Mission Shakti Loan?

        State Government of Odisha is committed in providing loans at 0% effective rate of interest to all SHGs for the loans availed upto 3 lakh on prompt repayment. This interest subvention scheme of the State Government is called “Mission Shakti Loan”. Directorate of Mission Shakti has been designated as the Nodal agency for administering the Mission Shakti Loan in the State.

Whom to contact under Mission Shakti for issues relating to SHGs?

        The Block programme Coordinator(BPC)/ Block Mission Shakti Coordinator (BMSC) at the ICDS Project office may be contacted for issues relating to Mission Shakti. In case the issues are not sorted out, the CDPO of the ICDS project may be contacted.
